Baby! Baby!

I couldn't resist making these cuties... a pair of fraternal twins! Named them after my cousin's twins whom I met at their full moon celebration recently. Design of these babes were inspired by the work of sugar artist Carlos Lischetti.

Jamie's "Jake The Pirate" Treasure Island Cake & Favorite Cartoon Character Cupcakes!

Commissioned by Jessica for her little princess Jamie's 1st birthday celebration.

Jamie loves the cartoon character of Jake from Disney's "Jake And The Neverland Pirates" show, thus a 3D "Jake the Pirate" sugar art figurine would have to take center stage on her cake. I decided upon a "Treasure Island" themed cake design since pirates and treasure always go together.

Jamie also loves Mickey (Mouse), Pororo (Penguin), Tulli (Snail), Charlie (Baby) and Timmie Time (Sheep) so these adorable cartoon characters were portrayed as 2D (with 3D effect) sugar art faces on cupcakes.

Yo Ho Mateys Again!

"Jake and the Neverland Pirates" cake with buttercream icing, 2D sugar art faces and fondant accents!
Commissioned by Nadia for her daughter's 4th birthday party. Nadia insisted on the same design as my previous Jake and the Neverland Pirates "Yo Ho Mateys" cake despite the fact that I rarely repeat a cake design. To make it different, I changed the design of the pirate ship and added more details, like the silver cannon above the keel and the gold emblem on the sails to resemble Jake's ship in the show. I also found out that the ship has a name of its own, "Bucky"!

Nadia sent me an sms after the party "Hi Pauline. Just to let u know that your cake tastes amazingly yummy. :)". Thank you so much, Nadia!
